Text Box: The following matters were discussed at recent HVCA Board of Directors meetings.
The Board approved a proposal from Commercial Concrete to replace some  sidewalks in the community where trip hazards have developed.  
The Board approved contracts with Power Systems Electric to replace the community building time clock (for lighting) with a photo cell system, and to install vandal resistant metal halide lights for the flagpole.
Text Box: The Board discussed a photo ID system for the HVCA pool and tabled the discussion.
The Board approved a Water Aerobics contract with The Wellness Network, Inc.
The Board approved a new reserve repayment schedule (to repay the funds borrowed from reserves for 2003 and 2004 snow clearing costs) and was advised that HVCA assessment fees will need to be increased in 2005 due to two years’ of excessive snow clearing costs.
The Board discussed at Text Box: length the community rat problem, approved a pest extermination plan and contracts as proposed by American Pest, Inc. and discussed the notice to the community.  The Board also agreed that if residents do not voluntarily help to eradicate this problem, HVCA will need to force their cooperation with rules & fines; an action that the Board would like to avoid if possible.

Text Box: Water Aerobics Classes set to start July 7th
Text Box: $20 the first time that they attend the classes.  If you can’t attend on July 7th, we encourage you to start as soon thereafter as you can.  Enrollment will not “close”.  The cost is less than $1.50 per class (if the weather cooperates and allows HVCA to hold all 17 classes).  The instructor will make every attempt to re-schedule any classes that are rained out.

Text Box: 100 homes in HVCA indicated (via the Recreational Pass Application) that they want Water Aerobics Classes.  So HVCA has contracted with The Wellness Network, Inc. to conduct water aerobics classes two times each week on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. starting July 7, 2004.
